1st April 2025 - Phil Webster

Message from club chair, Craig Dring -
Sad to hear today about the passing of a TT legend and Nomads member Phil Webster! He loved his table tennis, supported all local events and clubs and was so well respected and liked by everyone who had the pleasure of his company! I really liked Phil, tough on the table, a great guy of it and fantastic to have him involved in the Nomads family, I have had so many texts today from our club members all wanting to reach out to the family, Amy, Barbara, Heather, Matthew and Phil's brother Tommy, please accept our condolences.

Post from Northfield TTC website -
Here at Northfield TTC we are sad to hear of the death of Phil Webster. Phil was a lovely man who really enjoyed his table tennis. He played in the Stockton league for over 50 years and always helped in running the league many years as secretary. Phil was a vital part in developing Northfield always there for support and advice. He was very much a family man and was so proud of daughter Amy who herself had great successes in the sport winning national titles as part of Northfield's three time winning girls team and also winning medals for her college. Phil himself was successful in winning local league titles but it his friendliness, wisdom and support we will miss most.

Middlesbrough's oldest table tennis club.
